Objective: Create standout for Unico 20°N 87°W Hotel Riviera Maya as a 2018 holiday hotspot within a broadcast setting
How we did it: Securing broadcast slots for travel brands isn’t easy – reality TV rules for glamourous backdrops but this association isn’t always fitting. Unico 20°87° oozes sophistication and has a detailed concept that requires significant airtime to convey. With primetime TV the aim and a need for feature placement we approached the biggest and the best – ITV daytime programming! On the back of a face to face meeting with the competitions team, Unico 20°87° would feature as the luxury backdrop to their biggest competition slot, the £250 000 cash giveaway and become the location for a culinary segment with stalwart chef presenter, Phil Vickery.
Results: Unico 20°87° received approx. 8 mins of airtime as one of the destination backdrops for ITV’s daytime giveaway across This Morning and Loose Women in July 2018. Phil Vickery also then took viewers on a culinary tour of the Riviera Maya, taste testing Unico’s rotating chef concept, which celebrates regional produce and flavours, as well as its expert mixology infusions. This second feature ran during September 2018, with approx. 10 mins of airtime.
